That Millionaire Mindset | The BlackBerry KEY2 & KEY2 LE

BlackBerry’s KEY2 LE only costs around £340. To put that into perspective that’s just £13 more expensive than an iPhone XS Max screen replacement. And around £200 less than the regular KEY 2.

So the questions we want answers to are who’s it for? Is the KEY2 LE any good? How does it compare with the regular KEY2?
and would we recommend it?

Well Yes. But that all depends on a few things. I’m a big fan of both the KEY2 and the KEY2 LE. And in this video i will tell you exactly why this is one of the stand out phones of 2018.

Absolutely great review. I still use BlackBerry and will continue to use them as long as they are manufactured. I believe the KEY2 is a marvelous phone, but it needs some improvements. I think the offscreen NAV buttons are a waste on a phone with already a small screen. I also think the screen could be brighter. An OLED panel could also improve the batterylife even further.

For the rest, this is truly a great phone and I hope the KEY3 will be even better!

Watching this on my BlackBerry Key2... I love this phone. There's nothing it can't do. I've had it since August 2018 and the only charger that I have for it is the charger that came in the box. I take it off the charger in the morning, and 10 to 12 hours later it's still going. This phone makes me feel like a Master of the Universe

With their focus on security, how is Blackberry /TCL about keeping their phones updated. Not just the OS upgrades, but keeping up with the monthly security patches?

A great review with a different perspective. You are right about other reviewers favouring phones that play games well. Not everyone can afford or want a flagship phone. I tend to own a flagship phone, currently a Samsung Galaxy S8, I recently bought at fraction of it's introductory price. Former flagship now a midrange phone. I don't play FPS games! Spec is for keeping it up to date. It's running Oreo and has a lot of the security features mentioned in your review.
David, tough/rugged phones are another niche to look at. Talking of protection, I have never had an android smartphone without a case, screen protector or skin. I am currently using double sided crystal skin. Another subject matter.

another great video . again you are spot on in this review about why this phone was made and are right in saying other reviewers miss the point . sometimes things dont need to be shiny slabs of glass at 1500 quid to be practical .liked.

Decent video but they're no more secure than any other phone. Huawei have a lot more security features and most phones have software that monitors security out of the box. Blackberry is a dying brand and the physical keyboard is as terrible today as it was years ago when blackberry died.

Great video. When I see the BlackBerry Key2, I see a perfect Windows app phone. The space where the home button is seems like wasted space. They could've given the phone navigation buttons like most Android phones.

Excellent video, David! You really covered it all here.

Your comment about a lot of tech reviewers not understanding this kind of phone is also on point. I remember the same happened when the iPhone SE came out. It's sad that they can't understand how these phones are for a different market. I'm glad you can understand that and illustrate the reasons why this phone is great.

This phone isn't for me, btw. I'm not into that form factor with the keyboard on the bottom. But I also understand how amazing it is that that a great phone with a physical keyboard and security features exist nowadays. Just for that these are stand out phones. Especially now that TCL is also giving a lower cost option for those who can't afford the premium version. These are important phones. Hope they do well for TCL so they continue to be made. The more options the better.
