Perfect World First Impressions "Is It Worth Playing?"

May 17, 2020 By 20 Comments

Perfect World is an old MMORPG that initially released in China in 2005 and in EU/NA in 2008, This game is free to play and still seems to have between 500 and 1000 people playing daily, This game features 80 vs 80 territory wars, tab targeting combat with flying, dungeons, world bosses, raids, player housing and player shops.
This year I planned to go back and check out some of these old MMOs mostly for a bit of fun, to give you guys some nostalgia and see how they stack up today after years of updates.

What do you think about Perfect World International in current year? would you like to see a squeal on PC? do you think it’s still worth playing? and do you have any memories you’d like to share about the game? let me know in the comments below!

Yo so I'll still be covering all the new MMOs and I have plans for Crowfall, BDO, Wolcen, Blue Protocol, New World etc but sometimes I'll be covering these old MMOs as a way for me to relax, have some fun with the editing and have a lot of potential content if I don't know what video I feel like making, don't take me covering old MMOs as a "state of the genre" kinda thing, this year is actually looking good and content wise there's an abundance of stuff to cover :) thanks for all the kind words on the recent videos <3

Yeah, this game was pretty accommodating till you got to level 60 I think. I remember beating the first dungeon boss by myself and the newbie who partied with me and died thought I was hacker. All I had to do was equip the charm and move away every time the boss attacked.

Yesss I remember this! I played it years ago when the Tideborn were introduced. I spent most of my ingame hours sightseeing. Using the rivers as a mode of transportation was extra but cool

Long time PWI player here. If you're thinking about playing pwi DON'T DO IT. There's legit no point unless you're rich AF and have nothing else to do so you drop 5 grand on a game. It's highly pay to win and they keep adding new things to distract you from the fact that it's dying. Went from 8 servers to 4 and there's whispers about a final server merge. Like seriously, Don't play it.

it was a nice alternativa to world of warcraft back in the day (for people who don't had the money) its not the best free to play rpg, i think even tibia, or dofus (tactical turn based combat) was better...... and today we have so many good open world rpgs like aion/tera, i still love perfect world, the fact that you had underwater and flying gameplay made it very cool when i was yonger for me =)

tho if you have/had the money world of warcraft was just better........

but today i think its kinda impossible to chose what rpg is the best one, elder scrolls, black desert, warcraft theres just so many that are good if only i had infinite time to play then all rip.

Used to play this game (Perfect World MY version) from year 2007 because I cannot afford to pay for WoW subscription. I ended playing it until year 2010. I missed my Fist-Type Warrior (Blademaster in PWI). I missed my guildmates from Sanctuary guild and its been a long time we didn't contact with each other and believe it or not we have our own guild forum. This is my very first MMO I committed with as I save my school pocket money just to spend some items inside the Item Mall. Dragon City is packed with lot of traders and I love outside of West Side of Dragon City where most people gathering there and some are having PK session. This music are so nostalgic. Thanks Peon :').

I used to stay up all night playing Perfect World back in 2012. I remember it being so hard to level up and progress with my little 12 year old abilities that when I hit level 62, I felt so accomplished that I just stopped playing. That and my perfect world boyfriend mysteriously disappeared. It used to be a lot more interactive. People would talk and add you to groups. We would have giant parties. When one of our servers got merged with another, the entire player base went to the main city and danced together. It was a great game and I have great memories, but now it just seems like a shell of its former self.

Still playing it and thoughts are :
King of p2w games i guess. Boring late game content with repeatedly daily and dungeon. Took you maybe 2years to grind to make higher equipment and that's not even the maxed gear. Tons of alt characters.
Other than these it's the best game ever. Have lots of amazing features that you cant find elsewhere. People keep throwing massive amount of money into it willingly and that's why the game's still running
